Snow!

Hi my friends!
Sorry I haven't posted lately, highschool takes so much time. =P  Anyway, on a happier note, it's snowing today! =D  Lots of snow, and I think it's not stopping until mid-night.  The roads are bad so please pray that my dad will stay at work overnight so he can be safe!  My mom just went to the hardware store to get sleds for us!  I love sledding, my favorite kind of hills to sled on really steep ones!  I have a bad cold today though, so my mom isn't going to let me play in the snow much.  Oh well, at least she's going to let me make cookies!  I'll post pictures of the cookies and the snow later this evening or tomorrow.
I'm really behind on my posting challenge.  I'll start catching up now. =)

Day 5: A favorite quote
I can't pick a favorite, so I'll post a few.

If you can dream it, you can do it!
  ~Walt Disney

Don't cry because it's over.  Smile because it happened!
  ~Dr. Seuss

You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving
  ~Amy Carmichael

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
  ~Brian Littrell

How come I'm the one getting caught all the time?  It doesn't look good!
When you're the Jedi Master, you can make the plan.
That's just it! How can I become a Jedi master if I'm always getting caught!
At least you're a master... at getting caught!
Very funny.
  ~Anakin and Obi-Wan

Those are some of my favorite quotes, do any of you like them?

Day 6: A moment you wish you could relive

Actually this isn't a moment, but rather 2 months.  I wish I could relieve the time I had with Sandy, the lab mix puppy that I rescued and fostered. I really loved her and I still miss her, even though she had an 'accident' on my puzzle that I worked hours on, chewed up everything she could get her mouth around, and never missed an opportunity to get in trouble.  I trained her to walk on a leash, helped her get over her fear of people, and helped find her a forever home.  In return, she gave me the best summer of my life.  I love you Sandy!!! <3

Day 7: 5 things you couldn't possibly live without

These will probably be about the same as everyone else's. =)
1. God - This year He has really been teaching me how to be more like Jesus and draw closer to Him! <3

2. My family, friends, and pets - I don't know what I'd do without them!  I'm blessed to be able to know all of you!

3. My iPod and Laptop - My iPod is such an awesome little device, great for everything from a quick devotional to flashcards for testing to some serious gaming!  I also don't know what I'd do without my laptop, but I might find out soon since its days appear to be numbered. xD  Oh well, I'm getting a Macbook in a year or 2.

4. Books -  I love reading!  From classics like Little Women to mysteries to science fiction, books are one of my favorite ways to spend my time!

5. My hobbies - Basketball, Bible drill, archery, soccer, blogging, computer graphics, drawing, Star Wars, dogs, wolves, animal rescue... the list goes on and on! =D

Day 8:  A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life
So many people to thank!  I don't really have time to write but one letter and I already promised it to my aunt, so first I'd like to thank my parents for homeschooling me all my life, teaching me about God, and always being there for me!  I also want to thank my brother and sister, Zack and Hannah for being in my life.  They always know how to make me laugh, and love to watch Clone Wars with me!  Thanks to all my friends, those who I know in real life and those who I know online, you all inspire me and I love spending time with you!  Most importantly, thank you God, for making me who I am and who I will be.  Thank you for all the blessings I have!

Now, my letter.  This is for my aunt who tutors me in my math over webchat on most every school day!  It's great because I only get to see her about twice a year.

Dear Nene,
Thank you so much for every hour you spend preparing for my math lesson, even when you have a bad cold!  You don't know how much I appreciate it.  I used to hate math, but now it's my favorite subject!  I think the reason is because I get to see you every day!  I really enjoy our time together!  Thanks so much!
Love,
Rachel

Day 9:  A picture you took

This is Sandy.  I took this a few days after I found her. =)  I promise I'll edit in a better picture really soon.
I'm on my brother's account on my computer and I don't have time to switch computers.

That's it for now, whew, this post took about an hour.  My mom got back with our sleds, they're really nice!
God is so good, He protected her from having a wreck!  She was at a 4 way stop and the brakes wouldn't work because the roads are so icy!  She was either going to have to hit a truck in front of her or slide off the road and hit a stop sign.  The truck moved just in time and she was able to get home safely! =)  I'm off to play in the snow, have a great day!
